Free open event 15th July 5.30pm - 7pm

Kate Cairns, Julie Revels and Susan Blomley invite you to join their conversations and have the opportunity to share thoughts and ask questions. This is a chance to join with other like minded, dedicated professionals who have worked tirelessly with passion and commitment with young children and families throughout the last 16 months.

'Understanding human needs is half the job of meeting them.'

Adlai E Stevenson II

There have been so many challenges faced and so many adaptations and solutions created - this is an opportunity to share and celebrate these achievements. It is also a chance to take a reflective look at how each of us, as individuals within our work community, families and beyond, have experienced and made sense of the experiences, feelings and emotional responses.

These conversations aim to deepen our understanding of our own, and others’, biological and physiological responses to ongoing stressors; this can be transformative knowledge to take into the work place and beyond. During these conversations, there will be reference to models such as Five to Thrive and how this can provide a framework for connection and relationships which are core to resilience and recovery from toxic stress and trauma.

Registration for this event is now closed.

Anyone participating in the open event can also sign up to an additional package for a cost of £20 + VAT per person. The package will include a series of webcasts, to be released over the summer, and an e-learning module, both of which will help reflecting upon applying the learning to practice and taking these conversations further with colleagues. Participants will also be invited to explore with KCA how these models and conversations can be facilitated and used within their own individual or groups of settings.
