Promoting Recovery from Toxic Stress

This award will provide candidates with an understanding of the nature of toxic stress and the impact of the resultant psychological trauma on children and young people and those who live and work with them. Learners will also consider how a ‘recovery from trauma’ model and other strategies can be implemented to help children and young people recover and develop more positive patterns across every aspect of development: physiological, cognitive and emotional.
